I never love my country so much as when I attend the Dilworth 5th grade Patriotic Program. This year I was especially touched to hear the stories of our students who immigrated from other countries, to hear 3 verses of the National Anthem, and to see so many photos of the military relatives of our students. Songs and script were inspiring, the student's artwork was superb, and refreshments were delicious. Once again, we couldn't have done it without our fabulous Dilworth students and their families! THANKS!

Here's just some of what we've been up to in Social Studies... 1. We can name and map all 50 states! Ask us! 2. We're in the middle of an explorers simulation with our own ships and crews. Due to theft, limited resources, scurvy, and a host of other problems, many explorers will not make it to the New World. 3. Since this is the year for the U.S. Presidential Election, we're starting our election unit. We're interested to learn about how our government chooses the next President and get to see the outcome of this year's election. Well, it was another successful year at JA City! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible!
