We took a class on traits at the Natural History Museum. It was a great supplement to our study of genes, heredity, and traits. Some of the things we did included:
As our first writing assignment, we wrote farewell letters to Summer (the season, not a person). We focused on "voice" in our writing. In other words, we showed personality by trying to make the letters sound as if "summer" was a real person to whom we were writing.
